What type of music does equinox have??

equinox has many of the pieces I have been working on over the past few years.  They are mostly keyboard tracks but electric guitar can be found in some pieces.  The Yamaha HX 1 electronic  organ was used in the bonus ardvarc arrangement of Toccata and Fugue in D minor  ( Bach ).  The Toccata  (from Toccata and Fugue in D minor) can be downloaded here

How long does it take to compose a track??

That depends, "space" was written in an afternoon, but I had been playing around with the chord structure for months.

Do you rely on the computer with your music?

Yes, I use a computer to record my music, I do not however use any of the "looping" software that is available. 

Why did you choose "Toccata and Fugue in D minor" as a bonus piece?

"Toccata and Fugue in D minor" by Bach, is a piece I play on the organ, I thought it would be fun to give it the ardvarc touch.

Where do the names of the pieces come from?

 This is the hardest part of the whole process! I have always had an interest in space, so quite a few names come from that idea. Orca, once I had finished it,  reminded me of the sea, and the saw wave solo's sounded to me like a whale, in some ways.

Who did the artwork on the CD sleeve, and the desktop backgrounds?

 Well, I actually did those myself!!

Why??

I knew my way around some graphics software so I thought "why not" !

Who has influenced you over the years?

Well I think everything you hear influences you, not just the music you like to listen to. Even just "noise" can give you rhythm ideas.  

So who do you like to listen too then ?

I like movie soundtracks (Back to the Future (Alan Silvestri), 007 (David Arnold), Terminator 2 ( Brad Fiedel), Indiana Jones, Star Wars, ET., Jurassic Park etc (John Williams)

In the Instrumental stream I listen to,  Tommy Emmanuel, Vanessa Mae, Robert Miles, Mike Oldfield 

Ace of Base, Dire Straits, The Corrs, The Beatles, ABBA, Bryan Adams, Billy Joel, are some of the popular artist that I like.
